Manjunath A. Gokare, Esq.
Manjunath Gokare is the founder of Gokare Law Firm. He has been practicing law since 1999 and prior to that he was a professional civil engineer for 9 years. His practice focuses on all facets of immigration law. He is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and he has served on the AILA Liaison Committee to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services' Ombudsman's Office. Manjunath takes pride in his commitment to customer satisfaction as well as his ability to provide best possible legal representation to his clients at a competitive fee. Manjunath obtained his law degree from Georgia State University's College of Law. At GSU, he won the CALI award for the highest grade in International Environmental Law for his paper titled "Conflict Between Economic Development and Environmental Protection in Developing Countries." He completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bangalore University, India securing the 10th rank among nearly 1000 students at the university and a Master's degree in Environmental Systems Engineering from Clemson University, SC.
Shilpa M. Gokare, Esq.
Shilpa Gokare graduated with her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. Her paper titled "Are Nursing Homes Nursing the Needs of the Indian American Immigrants? (With a Special Focus on Hindu Immigrants)." received the second place in the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) national student legal writing competition and was published in the June 2006 NAELA student journal. Her practice is exclusively devoted to the areas of Elder Law and Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning. At GSU, she has completed an externship with the Senior Citizens Law Project of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. Shilpa obtained her Master's degree in Social Work with a major in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Bombay, India and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Sophia College of Bombay University, India. Prior to attending law school, Shilpa served as a Case Manager at AID Atlanta and was responsible for initiating the Women's Wellness Day program. She has also worked as a Counselor in a drug rehabilitation center and facilitated individual, group and family counseling sessions.
Luis Alemany, Esq., Of-Counsel
Luis Alemany is of counsel for the Gokare Law Firm. Luis' practice focuses on Immigration, criminal defense, and personal injury law. Prior to attending law school, Luis worked in the foreign exchange markets for 5 years. Luis graduated from Georgia State University's College of Law in 2006, where he founded and was president of the Hispanic Student Bar Association and the Immigration Law Society. Luis has extensive experience representing clients before all the immigration branches of the Department of Homeland Security, achieving significant court victories in several difficult cases. Luis also has extensive experience handling criminal and traffic offenses before municipal and state courts, securing positive results for his clients. His unique understanding of the criminal and immigration systems allows him to craft positive results for clients who are charged with criminal offenses, but have sensitive immigration issues. Finally, Luis has represented clients who have received injuries and has worked hard to ensure that they are fully compensated for their claims. Luis is a native of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, where he attended Colegio San Ignacio High School. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He has been married for 7 years. He is currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia and The American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Priti Tripathi, Senior Paralegal
Priti Tripathi is a Senior Paralegal for the Firm. Priti exclusively handles all facets of complex employment based immigrant visa matters for the firm including PERM, I-140 and I-485s. Priti completed her LL.M. (Master's degree in Law) from the University of Bombay, India with a major in International Business Transactions and Hindu Law in 1992, and a Bachelor's degree in Law and Accounting from India in 1990. Before joining Gokare Law Firm in January 2003, she was a practicing Attorney in India with 6 years of experience at a Civil Law and Tax Consulting Firm dealing with various matters. Priti has also completed a Certificate in Paralegal Studies.
Prajakta Kadam, Paralegal
Prajakta Kadam is a Paralegal for the Firm. Prajakta handles business non-immigrant visa matters (H-1B, L-1, P-1, P-3, R-1 etc.) as well as Family immigration matters (K-1, K-3, I-130s, I-485s and NVC matters). Prajakta has completed her LL.B. (Bachelor's degree in Law) in the year 1998 from Indian Law Society's Law College in Pune, India. She has also completed a Diploma in Taxation Laws (D.T.L.) from the same institute. Before joining Gokare Law Firm in April 2007, she was a practicing Attorney in India with over 4 years of extensive legal experience in handling cases in civil litigation, family law, corporate law, and wills.
